Escobar's Steakhouse in Metro Manila

"We had their smoked angus beef platter and their grass-fed rib eye platter. The steak took a while before it was served (more than 30mins). Although for the price and amount of steak (almost 1kg) I think it’s definitely worth it. You don’t really need their gravy with the steak. Some salt is enough to enjoy it. This came with some marbled potatoes and I think it lacked some salt but since there was salt available in the table, it wasn’t a big issue. I think the highlight of this meal was their smoked angus beef platter. It was really good and we honestly enjoyed it more than the steak. It’s wayyy better than other smoked beef we’ve tried in other restaurants. They accept reservations although they didn’t check it when we came since there were some seats available. The store is just small I think it can accommodate around 9 groups (2 on the 1st floor and the rest at the 2nd). Although majority of the diners are in the 2nd floor, there was only one server/waiter attending to everyone. It was amazing that Gelo (the only server in the 2nd floor) was able to accommodate all the diners in the 2nd floor. Although it took a while before he got back, it’s very understandable since he’s the only one working there. I’m giving this place’s service a 3/5 just because the other employees in the 1st floor barely helped him with the customers. They brought some food upstairs but didn’t know which table it was for and had to ask Gelo if that was the correct table. Gelo’s service was a 5/5 cause he did great in accommodating us best despite being really busy with all of the customers."

"I had lunch at Escobar’s and it was a great experience. The food was really good—well-cooked, flavorful, and nicely presented. The steak was juicy and tender, and the pasta was rich and satisfying. Portions were generous and perfect for a filling lunch. The service was excellent as well. Our server was very accommodating, attentive, and friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, Escobar’s is a great place for lunch, and I’d definitely come back and recommend it."

"My comfort steak! Love all the food that they have! It's my fave steak house here in QC since pandemic we love eating here. And take note the price of the steak is very reasonable and cheaper than others but the taste and quality is the best!"

"Had a super late birthday celebration at Escobar’s Steakhouse along Maginhawa Street, QC. I honestly didn’t expect much at first since it was my first time visiting and the space felt a bit small and cramped. But to my surprise, the food was really great. The steaks served to us were cooked well and tasted amazing, and the service was top-notch. I also truly appreciated the musicians playing love songs and even singing “Happy Birthday” for me — that was a nice personal touch. Overall, my team and I had a wonderful time, and I’m definitely looking forward to visiting their other branch soon. Good job!"

"If you want affordable steak, this is definitely the way to go. We ordered the ribeye and it was yummy pero medyo chewy siya. We also ordered truffle, mashed potato and the ribs and masarap and sulit siya for the price. Will def come back and try the other menu items"

"Value for money exceeds expectations. Both salad options are excellent. Grass-fed ribeye had better texture than USDA ribeye at other establishments I've tried. Everything had a perfect mouthfeel; however, I would have preferred if the mashed potatoes had a thicker consistency. Service was exemplary. Quick service time because of an efficient system. Nasa labas pa lang kami, kinuha na ang orders namin, so pagkaupo sa loob, it didn't take long for the orders to arrive. We feel very taken cared of by the staff. This place has easily become our favorite, and we'll definitely come back for more!"

"We enjoyed everything we tried here! Prices are reasonable—for less than ₱2,900, you can already get a 500g USDA Ribeye. They also offer bundles, serve pasta, different appetizers, and the place feels welcoming with a friendly and accommodating crew. The USDA Ribeye did not disappoint—flavorful and tender even at medium well, with just the right amount of fat. We didn’t even need salt or the sauces they served to enjoy it. The Angus Beef Belly was a surprise—melt-in-your-mouth, flavorful, and with appetizing aroma. Definitely a must-try! The Wagyu Cubes are another standout—tender, rich in flavor, and perfect on their own or with rice. Even the pastas—truffle and aglio olio—were great additions to the meal. But honestly, the meats alone are enough reason to come back. Note: The place is small with limited seating, so expect a wait of 30 minutes or more during peak hours. The air-conditioning could also be cooler for a more comfortable dining experience. I wouldn’t mind waiting again if it means enjoying their steaks and Angus Beef Belly."
